Greeks Going Green (3G)

Greeks Going Green is a student-run program that aims to educate and engage the Greek community on sustainable living practices and environmental and social awareness. This program encourages chapters to take proactive steps within their respective houses and reduce their environmental footprint.

Getting involved is a fun and empowering way to produce significant positive changes regarding environmental education and awareness within the Greek community and FSU as a whole.

Talk to your chapter's Sustainability Chair and see if there are any upcoming events you could participate in, either for your respective chapter or through FSU Sustainable Campus. If your chapter does not have a Sustainability Chair and you would like to volunteer, contact the Greeks Going Green coordinator, Joelle DiGioia at sustainablecampus@fsu.edu! The Sustainability Chair acts as a liaison between their chapter and Greeks Going Green. They help garner support for events and initiatives.

Whether you’re a Sustainability Chair or a general member of Greeks Going Green, involvement includes day-to-day operations within your chapter house to ensure environmentally friendly choices are made and long-term sustainability goals are met.

We participate in cleanups on campus, tabling, FSU Sustainable Campus events, recruitment and educational opportunities.
